The dock reflects in the peaceful water. The lighthouse of Bald Head Island stands in the distance, towering over the tree line as seagulls fly by.

Bald Head is North Carolina's oldest lighthouse, built in 1817. Replaced as a navigational light by the Oak Island Light, it has been restored for visitors. It is octagonal and covered in cement over brick which makes it very interesting to paint.

This giclée reproduction of an original watercolor by Mary Ellen Golden is printed on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper with archival inks. It is presented in a clear bag backed with matboard.
